Heather Carver featured in SyndicateMizzou
Women's and Gender Studies Affiliate Heather Carver, Associate Professor of Theatre, was recently featured in SyndicateMizzou. This feature, entitled "Performing the Self," highlights the research and creative activity of Heather Carver, Associate Professor in MU's Theatre Department. "As a means of studying something, we perform it," explains Carver. As such, she relies upon the interplay between performance and research, where teaching, research, and creative activity feed off of each other, all of them drawing upon the field of performance studies and performative writing. "So I do it, I research it, and I teach it," says Carver. "It's wonderful that it all sort of comes together."

SyndicateMizzou is a web-based resource for information on research and creative activity at the University of Missouri-Columbia.
