Bio

Katherine A. P. Iselin holds a PhD from the University of Missouri in Art History and Archaeology (Classical Art and Architecture), two MAs from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (Art History and Classical Greek), and a BFA in Sculpture from the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design. Her research explores themes of gender and sexuality in visual and material culture, primarily through the reception of ancient art in later periods. In the Women’s and Gender Studies Department, Dr. Iselin teaches courses that examine the topics of gender, sexuality, and feminism in conjunction with art, architecture, archaeology, and collecting. She is affiliated with the Athienou Archaeological Project in Athienou, Cyprus.
